Traditional Day

Jan 10 is celebrated as the traditional day in Benin,a country in African continent. This day is also declared as a holiday in the country.

Tradition is nothing but the customs followed by one's people from past days.Different parts of the world has different traditions based on their region and religions.A tradition may be simply followed because it was followed before or because it has a particular meaning.

As the saying goes
There cannot be a smoke without a fire
Every faith has a fact as its root. The faith might have deviated from its root cause and simply become a symbolic custom or it may be followed as a tradition without knowing its root cause.

In certain cultures to cut down a tree, they do not use a blade but instead surround the tree and scold it until it dies by itself. INTERESTING right!
So, it's a good idea to celebrate this day all over the world by remembering the traditions and finding the root of it.Even if you cannot find it it is a treat to know how changes has occurred to the followed traditions through the history.
Enjoy...
