School Day of Non-Violence and Peace

This day Jan 30 is celebrated as the school day of non-violence and peace in many countries all over the world. The day marks the death of  Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian non violent freedom movement and also the pioneer of Satyagraha. In India the day is celebrated as the Martyr's day to respect all the martyrs.
The Ahimsa means not to harm anybody.Even the enemy should not be harmed in the process of obtaining your goal.Satyagraha is one such movement started by Mahatma Gandhi to obtain freedom for India.

This day celebrated as the school day of non violence and peace is a great day to start instigating the principles of ahimsa in a child. It is a step for the peaceful world where goals are achieved by protests but not by harm.
