World Cancer Day

Celebration takes different forms in different situations.Feb 4 is celebrated as the World cancer day to create awareness among people about one of the deadliest diseases-cancer.It was initiated in year 2005 by International Union Against Cancer.

Do not spoil the environment and so yourself too 

The aim of the campaign is to create awareness among people about the causes and effects of cancer.It also spreads preventive measures like

• Providing Smoke-free environment.
• Being Physically active.
• Avoid over exposure to sun.

and so on..
Cancer is caused due to mutation of cells where there is extra growth which prevents its neighboring parts from getting necessary resources.There are various vaccines to prevent this too

So this world cancer day celebrate your day by creating awareness about cancer.Educating gives an happiness which can certainly be celebrated.

The day of Heroes and new beginnings

This day February 3rd is celebrated in the name of heroes and martyrs across various countries of the world.This day is celebrated as Four Chaplains day in US,Heroes' day in Mozambique,Martyrs day and Veterans day in Thailand.The day is thus celebrated for heroes all over the world.

This day is also celebrated as Setsubun in Japan,A festival celebrated on the day before spring.This day also happens to be the new year eve according to lunar new year adopted from Chinese.Setsubun meaning as bean throwing festival was held in order to throw the evil of the previous year out and welcome luck.

Groundhog day and more

Nature is always the first teacher.This day Feb 2 celebrated as Groundhog day over USA and Canada proves the point.The groundhog emerges from the burrow and either leaves the burrow or gets back depending on the season on this day according to the story.During the celebrations on this day the english language is prohibited and local language is encouraged by levy of penalty for english words.

So by studying the behavior of it one may discern the weather.So lets celbrate the day in learnning from the nature.

This day is also celebrated as the world wetlands day.The day marks the signing of Ramsar convention.It is held to create awareness about the importance of wetlands in nature.So celebrate this day the environmental way if you wish.
The day is also celebrated as Forest conservation day,National agriculture day and Inventors day in various countries.

Imbolc - The festival of Beginning

Feb 1 is celebrated as Imbolc, the Festival of beginning of the spring.This Irish festival also known as St Brigid's Day marks the day halfway between winter solstice and Spring equinox.This festival has a long history as back as neolithic era.

So this day might be a good day to begin anything new.Symbolically spring time is a happy time and your work might be happy too.
