A Day of Laughs

As the saying goes
Laughter is the key to happiness
Laughter indeed makes a person happy regardless of the state of the person who is laughing.Laughing also gives good exercise to the facial muscles by expanding each muscle.Laughter is contagious too.

This day Jan 24 is celebrated as the global belly laugh day by many people around the world.Since laughter is contagious if a person starts laughing others do too.So it is a great way to celebrate the day by laughing.:)

Laughing at oneself needs courage. If you have celebrated yesterday by analyzing your mistakes try to laugh at them today and correct them.Laughing at others is the work of a coward.DO NOT be one.Laughing for the sake of laughing is a great idea.
So Enjoy the day by laughing.

International Handwriting Day

Hope everybody is enjoying their lives.

This day January 23 is celebrated as the international handwriting day celebrating the birthday of  John Hancock an merchant with wonderful handwriting. He is also said to have written the most flamboyant signature on the American "Declaration of Independence".

In the modern day when every paper is being replaced by computers a written letter is becoming rarer and rarer yet it is said that an handwriting is like an open book to a persons personality.By seeing the signature or few lines written by a person, one can analyse his behavior.

This day might be the best day to flaunt your creativity in this international month of creativity. So, go ahead pick a pen and paper and write whatever comes to your mind adding a little creativity of yours.
Analyze it and correct your mistakes.Handwriting may or may not give your personality but analysing sure gives an understanding of oneself.

So go ahead and enjoy..

Traditional Day

Jan 10 is celebrated as the traditional day in Benin,a country in African continent. This day is also declared as a holiday in the country.

Tradition is nothing but the customs followed by one's people from past days.Different parts of the world has different traditions based on their region and religions.A tradition may be simply followed because it was followed before or because it has a particular meaning.

As the saying goes
There cannot be a smoke without a fire
Every faith has a fact as its root. The faith might have deviated from its root cause and simply become a symbolic custom or it may be followed as a tradition without knowing its root cause.

In certain cultures to cut down a tree, they do not use a blade but instead surround the tree and scold it until it dies by itself. INTERESTING right!
So, it's a good idea to celebrate this day all over the world by remembering the traditions and finding the root of it.Even if you cannot find it it is a treat to know how changes has occurred to the followed traditions through the history.

Perihelion-Earth closest to the Sun

Hello everybody....

Enjoy todays day in celebrating the closest day you are to the sun in this year.We all know that planets revolve around the sun in an elliptical path.In doing so, the planet is at one point closest to the sun and at another farthest to the sun.Well today happens to be the day when there is least distance between the sun and the earth.

The Perihelion occurs around this day.It is an apsis point of the earth's elliptical orbit.Apsis is the least or largest distance between the focus and circumference of the ellipse.Perihelion is the point in the year when the earth is closest to the sun. This year according to info available,it occurs at 19:00 hours of Jan 3.

So if you have missed any of the celebrations, call all your friends together and celebrate the day saying that you actually follow the real sun rather than calendars. You can also crack a joke that you are the brightest since you follow the sun itself and others follow calendar which is not so bright(He He).You certainly will be the brightest if you celebrate daily isn't it?

And if you believe in the 2012 Doomsday prediction, then this might be one of the last days when you are closest to sun and are feeling unhappy about celebrating then celebrate the day by helping against Global Warming and thus postponing the doomsday.(Applies for non-believers too).

Finally if you are wondering about the image of the ring on fire it not only indicates the sun, it also indicates the birthday of the the author of the "Lord of The Rings".So Tolkein's fans can celebrate this day doubly...
Enjoy...
